dc.description.abstract | The goal of this study was to identify factors influencing employee performance in the health industry, using Nairobi Hospital as a case study. The study's objectives included determining the impact of the working environment, employee salary, and the effect of training on staff performance at Nairobi Hospital. The descriptive research strategy was used in the study because it is a suitable choice when the study's goal is to determine features, trends, frequencies, and categories. This study's target population was 94 workers, and stratified random selection was chosen as the best sample strategy since it properly reflects the population being examined. Frequencies and percentages were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Correlation and regression analysis were examined using inferential statistics. Data was analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 24. Figures and tables were used to present the findings. The findings showed a strong and advantageous association between the workplace and employee performance. The results showed that employee remuneration and performance had a very strong positive association. Moreover, the results of this study demonstrated a strong relationship between training and development and employee performance. In order to guarantee that employee contributes successfully to the aims and objectives of the business, the study recommends that the employer should create an atmosphere conducive to work. The study recommended that both monetary and non-monetary incentives to increase employee retention and efficiency. The study advised employer should make significant investments in training and development initiatives to make sure that the staff is well-trained to carry out organizational tasks and processes effectively. In conclusion, the study's findings show that there is a strong link between employee performance and the working environment, employee compensation, and training and development. The researcher suggested that future research should examine other barriers to employee performance in other industries, such government parastatals, and various variables like the regulatory environment and educational attainment should be considered. | en_US |
